    Options Consulting Solutions Executive Recruitment is currently conducting an exclusive search on behalf of their client for Financial Planners. Our client has been a leader in the financial services industry for over 40 years providing investments, financial planning and consulting services to a specific market base that they share a strong mutual relationship with. From their corporate headquarters in the Greater Toronto Area, our client provides its services throughout Ontario with its integrated network of Advisors based locally in all regions of the province.

    As a Financial Planner working from our client's head office and/or home, you will take inbound calls and make outbound calls to manage the relationships with current clients, using your knowledge of the product offerings to provide additional value and grow the share of assets held by the firm. In addition, you will provide lending referrals to the Lending Services team.

    We are tasked to only seek leaders who possess an entrepreneurial spirit and are looking to build upon a business that values collaboration, culture and community above all.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Developing meaningful relationships with clients and becoming their trusted Financial Planner.
    • Retaining and growing share of wallet by delivering personalized financial solutions and advice.
    • Preparing client asset allocation proposals and modular financial planning projections
    • Responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
    • Representing the firm at workshops, trade shows, seminars and events
    • Collaborating with other members of the team to engage in the entire business development process, reviewing and adapting plans according to results and changing markets

    Position Qualifications

    • Post-secondary education (a college diploma or university degree)
    • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
    • Holding or working towards a minimum of the PFP designation and ideally have or is working towards obtaining CFP designation
    • Minimum 4 to 5 years of successful experience as a Financial Planner, supported by demonstrated results
    • Experience in preparing, developing and presenting financial plans to clients
    • Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships with clients
    • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, French language skills are an asset
    • Computer literacy (MS Office suite)
    • Ability to work independently and possesses self -management skills to complete workload in a timely and accurate fashion while managing competing priorities
