Participates in the Integrated Design Team and provides expert advice for the requirements definition verification and validation.

Provides expert advice for the definition of the verification and validation methods of the technical requirements and for the definition of the test objectives for the testable requirements.

Prepares the strategy for the project integration and testing. Coordinates the integration and testing in-plant and at project sites in accordance with the test plans and procedures.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinates the analysis of system, subsystem and ICD requirements and the definition of the applicable test objectives
  • Plans and coordinates integration activities inhouse and at project sites to mitigate the key project acceptance and commissioning risks
  • Investigates integration anomalies through review of data files, design documentation and through interaction with the development teams
  • Coordinates the project verification and validation work, including the preparation of the test plans
  • Provides expert advice and recommendations to increase the efficiency of the IVVQ work
  • Directs and reviews the work performed by the IVVQ team members
  • Trains and develops the skills of the IVVQ team
  • Optimizes inhouse testing vs field testing, coordinates the development of the operational and stress / bustit testing
  • Communicates with the Customer on test and verification related topics
  • Coordinates the preparation of system and subsystem requirements verification matrices
  • Performs independent review of the test results
  • Prepares integration and test reports which record the pass/ fail status of planned tests and identify problems detected during the tests
  • Develops expert product knowledge through active participation in formal and on the job training, as well as selfstudy
  • Assists in the development of IVVQ schedules and the associated progress reporting
  • Coordinates the development of IVVQ processes and tools
  • Ensures that the IVVQ team adheres to company's processes

Key Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in preparing technical documentation and delivering technical training.
  • Technical training experience with complex systems and solutions
  • Proven didactic skills, knowledge and teaching methods
  • Ability to explain and describe complex technical concepts to a varied audience
  • Ability to analyze and interpret hardware/software/system specifications and documentation
  • Flexibility to achieve training objectives in unexpected circumstances
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Superior Customer service and presentation skills
  • Ability to ascertain the skills and competency of staff assigned
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and highly detailed oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer sciences, Software Engineering, System Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 8+ years relevant working experience
  • Expert knowledge of railway signaling technologies, including SelTrac CBTC
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of CENELEC 5012x
  • Must be able to communicate clearly complex situations to different stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable of the software engineering development processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; English speaking mandatory
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in high stress work environments where deadlines are tight and expectations are high
