    Description

    Summary:

    We are seeking experienced Physiotherapists (multiple opportunities in British Columbia) to join our team on a locum basis. Physiotherapists will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing and treating physical conditions. You will provide advice/support to patients and families, have excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work with a wide range of patients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Competently perform assessments on client's physical status, functional abilities, requirements and goals, establish a physiotherapy diagnosis and prognosis, develop and implement a treatment strategy, evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention, and communicate with the client, family and health care team.
    • Provide evidence-based physiotherapy services to enable clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes, by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
    • Work within a public or private clinical environment, utilizing a broad knowledge of physiotherapy theory and skills in a variety of clinical areas of practice.
    • Follow College standards of practice and guidelines for clinical practitioners

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor or Masters degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University, including clinical training.
    • Registration with Provincial College of Physiotherapists and eligible to be registered with Canadian and Provincial Physiotherapy Associations.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physiotherapist.
    • Professional Liability Insurance (PLI), proof of Covid-19 Vaccination.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.
    • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed for locum assignments.
    • Acute care/inpatient orthopaedics and neurology, outpatient orthopedics and neurology, medical-surgical, pelvic health, pediatrics, virtual physio.
    • Other: include ICU, cardiac rehabilitation, burns and hand therapy.
