    Assistant Relationship Manager

    We are looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager to support our Relationship Management team at Butterfield Mortgages Limited (BML) in London. This is a hybrid role.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Relationship Management team in developing and managing direct intermediary channels that can refer relevant mortgage business.
  • Providing necessary mortgage advice, as required.
  • Working collaboratively with the Business Development Management team and supporting all functions of BML, as required.
  • Assisting the Relationship Management team in controlling a diverse portfolio of loans secured on real estate in order to achieve targets.
  • Managing and underwriting annual reviews and renewals of existing facilities.
  • Dealing with client enquiries, managing and administering the RM mailbox and monitoring receipt of Buildings Insurance and Confirmation of Repayment Strategies.
  • Monitoring limits exceeded and excess reports.
  • Monitoring financial and non-financial covenant compliance.
  • Gathering sufficient background information in order to be able to commence the preparation of property-related credit applications and assisting with their completion.
  • Creating new client files and carrying out lending reviews.
  • Your qualifications and skills include:

  • A proven track record of delivering similar capabilities.
  • Knowledge of information systems in a financial institution as normally acquired through 2years of on-the-job experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively.
  • The ability to own and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and prioritisation of assigned work load.
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and participate as a team member.
  • Professional demeanour and the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • A willingness to travel to a level necessary to perform the role.
  • CeMAP qualified or working towards.
