PRIMARY PURPOSE:


This position serves as a member of Regional Support and assist with the plans, directs, and evaluates the strategic initiatives in staff development; learning programs.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist with the overall planning, development, implementation, and effectiveness reviews of staff professional development strategies and initiatives.
  • Partner with organizational leaders to identify staff and client needs for training, organizational and curriculum development.
  • Serve in the development and implication of new programs such as shortterm, detox and outpatient.
  • Maintain the learning/training management systems to ensure effective learning / training of all staff is on track to meet accreditation standard.
  • Work with the teams to identify and implement new technologies and methodologies.
  • Assist with the changes and developments needed to help ensure programs meet ATC accreditation and provincial standards.
  • Assist with the planing, communication and administration needs for meetings, staff training sessions & offsites.
  • Assist with the developing and maintaining of the learning and materials and program sections for the website.
  • Assist with the ongoing compliance and maintenance of the Staff & Student Handbooks, Standards, Policies and Procedures and other external requirements and guidelines.
  • Assist with the maintaining of metrics that measure the impact and effectiveness of staff and student training programs on the organization's overall performance.
  • Be trained and willing to cover holidays for other RSS staff & Program Staff
  • Assist with other projects in the ministry growth as needs arise (ie. administration support, special projects ect.)

BUDGETARY:

Evaluate and collaborate with Officer Team for Curriculum Budgets for each location.


SCHEDULE:

Plan and communicate a work schedule. Must be flexible with scheduling, may be required to work evenings and weekends upon request.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 5+ years in addiction program development
  • 5+ years in nonprofit leadership
  • Able to lead other with humility and excellence
  • Able to follow and assist in achieving budgetary goals
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • Working Knowledge of computers and systems
  • Valid class 5 drivers license or higher

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:


  • Master's degree in relevant field is preferred.
  • Licensed minister or willing to obtain license with the FCA or other approved fellowship.
  • Willing to continue with ongoing person and professional development plans. Including addictions counselling.
