Key responsibilities:


  • Work closely with members of Mitacs Business Development, Research, and Programs teams to deliver high‐quality programming
  • Create and maintain a network of partners/clients in industry and academia
  • Introduce companies to various Mitacs events and programs
  • Introduce companies to various university researchers
  • Collaborate with Mitacs staff and/or university staff to organize scientific events including aspects related to networking with clients, scientific planning, logistics, and funding
  • Provide support to the Business Development team as needed
  • Provide business development support to all Mitacs programs as needed

Skills and qualifications:


  • Recent master's degree or PhD (one or two years)
  • Strong networking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and highenergy selfstarter
  • Team player
  • Ability to think creatively and innovate
  • Desire to pursue a career outside of research and academia
  • Active social network with proven ability to promote participation and sponsorship in programs or initiatives in the community
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English is required in this role as you will interact with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders located across Canada
Special consideration will be given to applicants with an active network from a university in the region of Quebec.
