Dawn Staffing is partenring with a logistics company in the search for a Supply Chain Coordinator for their Vaughan, ON location.

Shift - Days


Responsibilities:


Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate and oversee the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses and distribution centers. Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.


Customs Compliance:

Stay abreast of international customs regulations and tariffs to ensure compliance with import and export requirements. Prepare and submit customs documentation, including import and export declarations. Liaise with customs authorities to resolve any issues or discrepancies and ensure smooth customs clearance.


Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to optimize stock levels. Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts.


Supplier and Vendor Communication:

Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure accurate and timely shipments. Resolve any supply chain disruptions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.


Documentation and Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs documentation, and other relevant information. Prepare and analyze reports on key performance indicators related to supply chain and customs activities.


Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements in the supply chain and customs processes. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in supply chain coordination with a focus on customs processes.

Minimum Three (3) years of relevant work experience in a logistics, and or supply chain environment Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, US-Canada Customs requirements.

Applied experience of USMCA and customs clearance is a must, customs procedures, and import/export documentation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in using supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
