Papp Plastics is a progressive Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive plastic injection molder located in LaSalle. Papp has been in business for 30 years. We are currently seeking to hire a full time
Program Manager.


Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Program Manager will lead and manage new products from design concept to production launch.

The Program Manager must have the ability to work in a Team environment, working closely with Logistics, Purchasing, Quality and Production teams on Program tasks.

The Program Manager will be the lead contact with the Customer.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to complete sourcing summaries of tools, fixtures and BOM items in conjunction with cost estimates & submit PO Requisition Forms
  • Responsible to complete feasibility studies & risk evaluations
  • Responsible to deliver each program within time plan & budget established by the Sales Account Manager
  • Responsible for the Quality Planning Process, QPP activities per Q-ENG01 Quality Product Planning Process
  • Responsible to Champion corrective action (CA) meetings pertaining to customer concerns and complete other activities as defined in Q-QA04 Corrective & Preventive Action Process.
  • Manage various programs from Quote acceptance to PPAP approval
  • When mold received, verify it is correct mold & request tool identification # from engineering for new programs / tools
  • Verify incoming molds are marked, that mold is stored in proper location & PAPP ID # is visual
  • Responsible to oversee tool modifications from engineering level changes
  • Responsible to monitor molds sent out for repair or maintenance
  • Responsible to review & add initial lessons learned.
  • Responsible to communicate engineering changes
  • Provide weekly open issues and timing chart updates to the Engineering Manager for ongoing programs and all important issues, and customer, where required
  • Responsible to make sure Suppliers to be used are on the Approved Supplier List. If not, notify the P&M Supervisor
  • Champion weekly QPP meetings and attend other related meetings
  • Participate in R&D activities
  • Provide Program Timing and Program Deliverables (internal & external), ensure Customer expectations are met.
  • Coordinate design reviews for new molds and equipment
  • Represent Papp Plastics at offsite Customer Meetings and or build events
  • Adherence to all company procedures and policies, including active participation in all requirements to retain IATF certification.
  • Identify, create strategy for Risk Mitigation and Contingency Plans for Program Deliverables

  • CAD Software
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Competent in time management, and setting of priorities.
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at the same time

A) EDUCATION

  • Post-Secondary Education required
  • University Degree preferred
  • Program Management Certificates _preferred_

B) TRAINING

  • Good understanding or training in APQP, DOE, GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Certificates in any AIAG training is an asset
  • Project Management Professional certification an asset

C) EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Program Management _preferably injection molding._


  • Technical Background

  • Automation, Injection Molding, Moldmaking, Design for Manufacturing
  • Excellent people management skills; experience working with and managing teams in a matrix environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Standard; IATF 16949:2016 and Customer Specifics
  • Knowledge of Core Tools
  • PPAP(4th); APQP ( 2nd ); MSA (3rd); FMEA ( 4th ); SPC (2nd )
  • Knowledge of Lean Mfg methodology

D) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid passport
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to travel as required to respond to Customer issues
