Description
Read, understand, and follow the packaging instructions as per work order

  • Pack and seal WIP (work in process) or finished goods as they become available from production line as per specifications on the work order
  • Conduct quality check and report product or package defects to operator or shift supervisor
  • Contact management for any production or quality related issues
  • Measure product dimensions, and count or weigh materials to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Inspect, mark and label the packages, including case weight, PTO roll weight, correctly
  • Stamp employee number and date on the label outside the box for future traceability
  • Inform operator or shift supervisor to remove scrap box away from work area as soon as it is full
  • Prepare packaging materials (allocating and making boxes, bringing skids)
  • Assist the Operator with setting up production line and order change over.
  • Remove and weigh scraps if required.
  • Record production data accordingly
  • Coordinate with coworkers at same section when taking breaks so that the production flow is not interrupted
  • Rotate between work stations as required by shift supervisor
  • Cut the cores as required by operator
  • Be able to rotate between machines, work sections, and shift changes
  • Fill up Tycho Poly Roll Weight Sheet with mass details if applicable
  • Crate or place the cartons and rolls on skids and inform operator or shipper to wrap up
  • Keep working area free of scrap and maintain workplace safety
  • Participate in mid and yearend inventory count if required
  • Participate employee training to ensure that process is followed and meet all quality requirements
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety, as applicable
  • Report to work 5 minutes before shift starts and Be able to work at flexible hours or overtime if required
  • Perform other duties as required by operator or shift supervisor

Salary:
$16.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Woodbridge, ON L4L 3P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
