    Middle School Guidance Teacher
    Part-Time Position - 50% FTE

    Temporary Position:
    August 26, 2024 to May 9, 2025

    Mildred's-Lightbourn School (SMLS) is a premier independent school for girls from JK through to Grade 12.

    To support our vision of empowered young women challenging and transforming the world, we are currently seeking a Middle School Guidance Teacher.

    The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Dean of Students, Wellbeing and Inclusion, the Middle School Head, Middle School Assistant Head, Middle School teaching team , the Middle School Circle of Care team and will be responsible for the development and delivery of creative and innovative inquiry based programming, while meeting the individual needs of all students in the classroom.

    Middle School Head, Middle School Assistant Head, Middle School Teachers, Middle School Circle of Care team

    Education:
    Bachelor of Education, Ontario Teacher Certification
    Experience: 3+ years experience teaching at Middle School grade level
    Experience developing/implementing Project/Inquiry Based Learning
    Experience in a non-profit setting (asset)
    Experience in an Independent School (asset)

    Working Conditions:
    Office / School Environment, Mac, Google
