Duties & Responsibilities:

Produce online support articles (FAQs, troubleshooting, installation, etc.) leading up to a launch, as well as updating and maintaining information, as necessary.
Develop and grow the online support content.
Produce quick start guides, manuals, and specification sheets for new products.
Work with SMEs and other departments to ensure accuracy of content.
Perform reviews of documentation projects produced by technical writers on staff to ensure that content is complete, wellwritten, and meets all branding guidelines.
Manage vendors for CMS user guide software and translation projects with thirdparty translators.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Certificate in Technical Writing and/or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Exceptional English writing and verbal skills.
Indepth knowledge of HTML, XML, and Microsoft Office.
Eye for design and ability to create and modify templates for accessibility and visual harmony.
Bilingualism in French or Spanish would be an asset.
Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator would be an asset.

Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
Ability to weigh the needs of separate stakeholders and identify conflicts that could lead to issues at the time of a launch.

Background Experiences

Proven working experience as a technical writer.
Experience with XMLbased CMS or other content management systems used for structured authoring and content reuse.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud design programs, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
Experience delivering training, presentations, or webinars would be an asset.
Ability to design elearning curriculum would be welcomed.
Coop student or parttime student may be considered.
