The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has introduced its new TTC Corporate Plan - Moving Toronto, Connecting Communities.The full Plan can be viewed on Career Opportunity Our Transportation Planning and Engineering department is looking for a Senior Manager Transit Programs to join their team Please see TTC website for full posting What You Will Do Reporting to the Head Transportation Planning and Engineering as the Senior Manager Transit Priority Programs you will provide strategic leadership coordination project sponsorship for high-impact transit initiatives including bus priority lane projects smart transportation infrastructure pilots subway capacity enhancement program other complex transit initiatives requiring interdepartmental interagency collaboration As the Senior Manager of Transit Programs you will lead planning definition major transit projects programs ensuring rationale scope stakeholder inputs operational implications are clearly articulated You will provide sponsorship leadership owning problem statement defining success criteria coordinating all aspects of transit initiatives Additionally you will oversee development business cases funding applications materials Toronto City Council Committees You will serve internal point accountability advancing TTC-led transit initiatives toward implementation readinessYou will build maintain strong cross-functional relationships other TTC teamsincluding Transportation Planning Engineering Service Planning Scheduling Strategy Foresight Transportation Vehicles Operations Infrastructure Engineering Construction Expansion ensure alignment successful delivery projectsYou will lead participate multi-agency working groups technical advisory committees steering committees represent TTCS interests effectivelyIn collaboration internal external partners you develop deliver complex project requirements meet organizational stakeholder needs You manage report progress key transit programs milestones met objectives achievedYour responsibilities include monitoring performance identifying delivery risks recommending implementing mitigation strategies Ensure consistency technical service standards across all projects implementation phases In this role you build lead team project leads planners analysts dedicated project development program advancement Provide coaching direction oversight work plans deliverables fostering collaborative outcomes-focused culture complements existing planning engineering functions Demonstrate behaviors support diversity inclusion respectful work service environment free discrimination harassment Help remove barriers accommodate employees customers area responsibility accordance Ontario Human Rights Code OHRC Accessibility Ontarians Disabilities Act AODA TTCS policies Participate Customer Service Ambassador Program
