Key Responsibilities:


  • Set up manpower requirements and hours of operation required for paint area to achieve the expected production and manpower targets.
  • Obtain paint production schedule from Materials Department and coordinates order of schedule with them.
  • Coordinate overtime manpower requirements for Paint Booth Operators, Paint Mixers, Washer Operators and Mainline Loader/Unloaders.
  • Interact with process technicians and maintenance to ensure areas of concern for production are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records of paint line performance including times that conveyors and carousels are made available to production department.

  • Maintain process verification forms as described in standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor and react to any equipment faults or alarms.
  • Issue maintenance work orders to repair defects in machinery in a timely manner. Follow up on the effectiveness of the repairs.
  • Prepares timesheet summaries for payroll department for his/her direct reports.

Key Responsibilities cont'd:


  • Keeps Performance Binder up to date for all employees reporting to him/her directly, which includes monitoring attendance, conducting regular and timely performance reviews, and entering any other information in the Binder that is relevant to each employee's performance.
  • Ensure consumable supplies inventory is adequate to cover Paint production demands.
  • Responsible for housekeeping, labour efficiency, safety policies and procedures.
  • Train new employees in Job Specific Hazards.
  • Conduct New Employee training verification.
  • To fully comply with Rollstamp's Early and Safe Return to Work
  • Work Instruction.
  • Responsible for proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, used materials and equipment.
  • To promote and lead the daily functions of the production team using The Magna Employee's Charter as the guiding principle.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to PPE requirements.
  • Coordinate activities of team members in achieving department performance objectives which are:
  • Labour costs
  • Yield
  • Internal Customer Rejects Uptime
  • Overhead Costs
  • Key product and process characteristics.

  • Train team members in control plan procedures and ensure all work is being performed within the guidelines of the control plan.
  • Manage all department personnel utilizing a progressive discipline procedure if required.
  • Maintain working areas in a clean and safe manner, complying with all Housekeeping Policies.
  • Wear all protective equipment as required by plant regulations.
  • Active participation in all departmental Safety, Quality, Production, Cost, Morale, and Environmental CI Initiatives.
  • Responsible for encouraging teams to develop new ways to improve quality and productivity.

  • Use of training to provide positive feedback
  • Follow and support Rollstamp's Mission statement and values.
