Description

The Program Manager, Primary Health Clinic is responsible for the day-to-day operations of primary health services with a focus on nursing services, and leading and facilitating team work to ensure optimal care for clients.

This role involves leading or participating in programs, organizational initiatives, committees, and functions.

Collaborating closely with Mount Carmel Clinic management, the Program Manager ensures alignment of programs and services with client needs, integrates services both within and beyond Mount Carmel Clinic, and fosters teamwork and collaboration across all Mount Carmel Clinic departments.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

Degree at the Bachelor level in a health care related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Registration with a Professional College or Association, as applicable
Must be a member in good standing with a Professional Association, as applicable.
Must be licensed to practice in Manitoba, or obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe agreed upon, if applicable

Management Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in health care including supervising nurses and human resources management

Program/Community Knowledge

Minimum of three (3) years of experience working effectively in a related service/program and similar population;
Demonstrated knowledge of basic financial management and program management, evaluation and development;
Understanding of the assets, challenges, needs and interests of Mount Carmel Clinic's clients and community

Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking, decision-making, change management, problem-solving, crisis management and conflict resolution

Focus on Results
Demonstrated ability to manage programs, projects and initiatives to effectively and efficiently achieve their goals and produce expected results/outcomes

Communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations, and proficiency in the use of computer systems, including electronic medical records

Assets

Certificate in Health Care Management is an asset.
Project management skills and experience
Management education or training, including human resources management
Experience preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures and preparing financial reports in accordance with the requirements of specific funders
Experience in a Community Agency
Knowledge of computerized eChart/Accuro programs
CPR Certification at Basic Rescuer Level, or obtain within a reasonable timeframe, if applicable
