The Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Bell, ensuring the needs of customers, investors and employees are balanced with long-term business success.

We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability.


Summary:


Key Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Senior Manager Finance (Treasury Operations):

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Treasury Department, including cash flow management, investing surplus funds, and managing debt
  • Support team in daily and longerterm forecasting involving internal and external cash flow activities and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures
  • Participate in the improvement of our Treasury management systems, reports and processes such as cash forecast analysis
  • Support the finance teams and customer facing Business Units to enable faster customer payments and faster visibility into cash flow
  • Initiate or support projects in Treasury Ops that enhance value, compliance or generate cost reduction
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions
  • Stay uptodate on the latest trends in treasury management

Critical Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computing or in a related field with interest in Cash Management (banking, payments and forecasting)
  • 3+ years of experience in treasury management or banking environment (or related field)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven track record of success in treasury management
  • Strong understanding of financial markets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Data analysis, programming experience, coding language skills are a valuable asset for this position
  • Knowledge of Canadian or international banking systems/payments would be considered assets
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Strong leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Oral and written)
  • Detail oriented with ability to accept continually evolving priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Customer service focus with ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and suppliers
