Brandt is currently seeking Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technicians for our North Bay Peterbilt location. This role features a unique 3-day work week with 12-hour shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. This shift schedule provides competitive compensation and a full benefits package.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Truck & Trailer based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair Trucks & Trailers
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
• Other duties as required

• Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel
• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work.
• Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
• Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work 12-hour shifts on weekends and an additional weekday.

• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred
• Certified Journeyperson in the technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
• Experience with electrical diagnosis / troubleshooting and after-treatment systems considered an asset
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
