Description of Role:

As a Casual Security Guard, you are to support the physical logistics of our operation. Casual Security Guards will be called upon to work various events and vacant shifts.

Casual Security Guards will be called ahead of time to work, and report to the specific site on their assigned shifts and complete numerous tasks such as reporting incidents, completing professional reports, completing detailed patrols of our sites, completing site check-ins and more.

You are responsible for ensuring your required duties assigned are completed and working alongside our Site Supervisors to coordinate the flow of traffic in regard to our operation and overall performance of our company.


Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

  • Patrolling in a variety of settings (mobile and foot)
  • Physical Pat-Downs and bag checks
  • Enforcing property rules, city bylaws, and other applicable laws
  • Deterring and responding to incidents on the property
  • Managing alcohol entering or exiting our events
  • Maintain communications with fellow Security Guards, dispatchers, Cliental and NSPS Managerial Staff.
  • Ensure all site staff adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper documentation is passed onto the Shift Leads/Dispatchers, client and NSPS leadership team
  • Document and investigate security incidents and complaints
  • Communicate any concerns/issues with Supervisor, Client Service Manager or the client
  • Ability to work alone and be selfmotivated

Qualifications:


  • A valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • A valid driver's license (Full G license)
  • Have a clear criminal background
  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Must complete company orientation and required training courses prior to start date

You will have access to free on-site parking during shift hours and will be responsible for showing up to all of your assigned shifts, on time, and in full uniform, without exception.

Our NSPS Loyalty Policy deducts a deposit from the employee's first pay-cycle, which is returned to the employee upon completion of their 3-month / 500 Hour probationary period.
