Role Summary:

As a Market Insight Analyst, you'll be a pivotal player in understanding and analyzing the Canadian cannabis market as well as our portfolio's performance.

Serving as the primary expert for industry insights, competitor activities, and consumer preferences, you'll closely monitor and assess performance, stay informed about industry trends, and generate valuable insights.

Responsibilities:

Lead the Monthly Performance Reviews:Analyze industry trends, competitor performance, and their impact on our portfolio in every market we operate in, each month. Lead the presentations.

Optimize Portfolio Productivity:Develop new performance KPIs to enhance the overall productivity of our portfolio.

Identify Opportunities: Conduct "whitespaces" analysis to highlight market gaps based on consumer trends and recommend strategic investments. Present outcome to the commercial planning team and collaborate on recommendations.

Competitor Knowledge:Be the go-to resource for understanding competitor SKUs and consumer feedback.

Support Product Launches:Provide pricing recommendations and ensure competitive product launches for innovations.

Track New Product Performance: Monitor and evaluate the performance and competitiveness of new products in the market, identify risks and opportunities. Clearly communicate results to the team in a timely fashion.

Forecast Provincial Market Size:Predict monthly market sizes for each province to inform strategic decision-making. Review forecast accuracy monthly.

Summarize Relevant Cannabis News: Keep the team informed with concise summaries of relevant industry news on a monthly basis.

Conduct Ad-hoc Analyses:Perform weekly and monthly analyses on performance based on needs and priorities established. Communicate outcomes clearly to the team.

Things we hope you have:

University Degree in a businessrelated field with a minimum of 3 years in an analytical role.
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong analysis and presentation skills to deliver insights to the leadership team.
CPG or Cannabis industry experience is a strong asset.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
A mindset that's ready to learn and improve every week.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

You're really good at:

Strong analytical skills and basic knowledge of statistical modelling.
Proficiency with using Power BI as an analytical tool.
Able to work independently and proactively while handling fluctuating workloads simultaneously.
Proficient in both written and verbal English and French, facilitating effective communication with Quebecbased colleagues and fostering collaboration with sister and parent companies located in British Columbia and the United States.
