The Role
The
Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing maintenance leadership on the shift through organizing and planning maintenance activities and priorities. You will lead the activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. You will also provide technical and problem-solving support for the plant and maintenance crews and support and execute plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve key performance goals for overall maintenance performance.
Your Impact
- Supervise daytoday activities of our maintenance staff and support the overall maintenance of the plant, production teams and plant equipment.
- Identify, investigate, correct, and document potential environmental and safety problems. Safety is very important to us
- Lead projects involving equipment installations, modifications, repairs and renovations. Ensure all service calls and machine repairs are completed on time.
- Partner with and maintain a collaborative relationship with all other departments.
- Ensure all company/plant policies and regulatory guidelines are followed (GMP, OSHA, Quality and Safety Standards).
Shift and Location
Monday to Friday, 7 am - 4 pm, occasional overtime and weekend shifts may be required.
This role will be onsite and will be based out of our facility at 555 Steeprock Drive, North York
About You
- Trade certified (
Industrial Mechanic Millwright 433A preferred), technical diploma or degree in a mechanical field. - You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience, preferably a food manufacturing environment.
- Experienced in coaching, process improvement, quality management, safety management, tracking production metrics.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Genuine passion for continuous learning and development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
