The Ministry of Long-Term Care works to ensure Ontarians receive access to the quality long-term care they deserve, in a safe, home-like environment when and where they need it.

While overseeing long-term care in Ontario, the ministry works to support the best possible quality of life for residents with a focus on:

- ensuring accountability, enforcement, and transparency through progressive enforcement tools, proactive and risk-based inspections, and easily accessible information for residents, families, and the public

What you'll do:


The foundation of our relationship with Ontarians is trust; we must be responsible stewards of clients in Long-Term Care Homes they entrust us to protect.

We take that responsible to heart and then some. In this role, you'll get to contribute heavily to that charter.

LTC Homes Inspectors perform a variety of duties that are performed during on-site inspections of LTC Homes across Ontario.

You will be focused on ensuring licensees are providing high quality, compassionate care to our communities and take great pride in fostering an inclusive and accessible environment.

Who you'll work with:


You will work extensively with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals from a variety of backgrounds; Nurses, Dietitians, Social Workers, Physiotherapists, Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.

As a team, the goals include; integrating improvement,; ensuring our processes and tools continually elevate care within the sector, and most importantly protect and provide the highest quality of care for one societies most vulnerable population


Mandatory

  • You must possess [oral and written] French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.
  • You have a current registration in good standing as one or the following professional designations:
Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian, Registered Physiotherapist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathol
