MS Office (especially excel) and data analysis skills are required for this position as well as having proficient typing skills (touch typing).

Coaching skills and experience in coaching is an asset.

Strong Facilitation skills is required.

Experience in facilitating meetings and complex cross-functional and cross-departmental improvement initiatives within a healthcare setting comprised of multidisciplinary care teams, operational leaders and staff is an asset.


What you'll do

  • Establishes detailed project charter, plans and objectives to outline timelines and project deliverables. Facilitates the project using Lean/CQI methodologies, ensures successful and coordinated completion of project components, facilitates consensus with leaders and stakeholders as needed and ensures readiness for project implementation.
  • Tracks project progress according to project plan and identified metrics. Monitors and reports on the status of projects and major barriers encountered. Makes decisions and recommendations regarding projects scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome. Implements or contributes to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develops and monitors project budgets within the context of operational demands and environmental and resource constraints and uses best practice methods to thoroughly monitor and adhere to allocated budgets. Responsibilities include reporting variance, planning and adjusting operations and/or staffing to meet projections and annual targets, approving expenditures and preparing summaries and is accountable for its own operating budget.
  • Implements quality improvement/Lean initiatives and recommends policy or practice changes related to all aspects of patient care, crossfunctional and business operations.
  • Works effectively with other C&W crossfunctional and business units and other service groups in PHSA and the Health Authorities. Coaches and guides leaders, providers and staff in all program areas across C&W in adopting Lean Management Systems
  • Strategy Deployment and Daily Management to support daily problem solving, set and align goals and priorities, and sustain improvement results.
  • Coaches and guides the establishment of key monitoring and performance metrics to support the monitoring and tracking of daily performance and improvement results. Makes recommendations based on evaluation of impact to patient outcomes, system performance, and organizational risk.

What you bring

Qualifications:


  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant health care discipline and Five (5) to seven (7) years recent, related experience in transformational change and project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
  • Must have a passion for innovation and strategically driving continuous improvement throughout an organization from executive to patient care providers. Expertise in Lean Management System is an asset. A coach and change agent with a proven track record of developing and supporting lean management systems
  • Strategy Deployment and Daily Management Systems.
