- Adventure Programming (high ropes climbing and challenge courses)
- Waterfront Programming (swimming, canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding)
- Implementing and facilitating the delivery of quality recreational programs and services.
- Setting up, taking down and supervising program areas.
- Ensuring that children and youth have a positive experience through fun and rewarding recreation and sport programs.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of program participants.
- Performing some housekeeping responsibilities, like santation of equipment, cleaning program areas, etc.
- Ability to work in English
- Bilingualism is an asset
- National Lifeguard Certification, Bronze Cross, Paddle Canada, CUI or other relevant certifications will be strongly considered as assets
- Well-developed interpersonal, conflict resolution and relationship-building skills
- Ability to maintain calm demeanor in stressful situations
- Ability to act as a positive role model for campers, staff and volunteers
- Applicants must be 16 years old by June 2026.
- Applicants must have a current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certification.
- Applicants must already have a valid permit to work in Canada.
- A Police Record check, not more than 6 months old is required.Police Records checks are reviewed on an individual basis and the offense(s) - if any - is considered in the decision-making process in relation to the requirement of working with children, therefore not eliminating all candidates with a record from being offered a position.
- Semi-annually, staff must complete the mandatory training for the protection of Children & Youth and submit the certificate of completion.

What do you offer?
Reporting to the Camp Coordinator, the Program Staff implements and facilitates the delivery of quality recreational programs, services and experiences to children and youth aged 4 to 16 enrolled at Camp Otonabee. The Program Staff functions as part of a team tasked with supervising program participants as they engage in outdoor activities, discover nature and enjoy the natural environment, build self-confidence and establish lasting friendships. Campers can experience canoeing, rock climbing, kayaking, swimming and more.
