Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team.
As a Journeyperson Carpenter, you will be responsible for various carpentry tasks including tile laying, construction painting, siding installation, and general building and restoration projects.
This is a full-time position that requires proficiency in carpentry skills and the ability to work with hand tools.Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Install tiles for flooring and walls
- Construct and install cabinets, shelves, doors, windows, and other wooden fixtures
- Perform construction painting tasks as needed
- Estimate materials and labor costs for carpentry projects
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Carpenter or similar role
- Proficiency in various carpentry skills including tile laying, construction painting, siding installation, etc.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction drawings
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Note:
This is a paid position. Internship positions are also compensated.

Pay:
$23.79-$44.56 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- carpentry: 5 years (preferred)
Language:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
