  • Translate and review texts for all DCC service lines
  • Perform translation quality control to ensure concordance, accuracy, clarity, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive terminology management database
  • Support development and implementation of innovative translation processes
  • Stay up to date with DCC-related terminology
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal clients, external suppliers and networks
  • As the successful candidate, you may fulfill your role in hybrid mode (2-3 days a week in the office) if you live in the National Capital Region. You may also work remotely in Canada (within easy commuting distance of a major centre or travel hub), in which case we'll bring you to DCC headquarters in Ottawa twice a year for in-person team meetings.

    You're a good fit if you have these qualifications
    You have a professional working knowledge of:

  • Translation software and terminology management databases
  • Current translation trends and best practices
  • Project- and client-management best practices
  • Education: University degree in translation or related field

  • Experience: At least four years in editing, translation and use of translation software, preferably in an agency setting

    As the successful applicant, you'll join our small but growing translation unit within DCC Communications. In fact, we'll count on you to help build the unit– and our reputation. Day to day, you'll work as part of a supportive team of expert linguists that offers the full range of translation skills and expertise. We collaborate constantly and will look to you for your expert advice and insight as we meet the needs of internal client groups located wherever there are military bases across Canada
