    ABOUT OUR CLIENT

    Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technologist/Designer to join their team in Kelowna, BC. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven track record in producing high-quality architectural designs, with a focus on sustainability and functionality. The candidate should also be familiar with local building codes and regulations in British Columbia and have experience in collaborating with other architects, engineers, and construction professionals.

    Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with architects and designers to create detailed and accurate technical drawings and specifications for various architectural projects.
    • Develop and maintain construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
    • Perform site visits and collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure designs meet construction and safety standards, and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.
    • Research and implement innovative sustainable design solutions, materials, and technologies to achieve environmental and economic efficiency goals.
    • Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
    • Attend project meetings and communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project objectives are met.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and drafting, with a focus on sustainability and functionality.
    • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp software, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
    • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Seattle.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently.
    • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
