This
full-time
temporary position **is currently available at the school board office for the educational and complementary services department offering services to adult general education and vocational training.

The professional working in this position will be assigned to the Centre of Expertise in Transportation ACCESS at 4861 de la Savane, St-Hubert.


NATURE
OF
WORK:


The position of project development officer encompasses, in particular, responsibility for research, analysis and development of activities based on a particular theme, such as community relations, organizational development, development and implementation of vocational programs.

The project development officer ensures the planning, coordination and delivery of an action plan related to a theme calling on the internal and external resources of the school board.


DUTIES:

In close collaboration with the Director of Vocational Training, he or she:

  • Participates in the implementation and update of a special theme or project; where applicable, he or she becomes familiar with various programs concerning the project to which he or she is assigned, assesses their pertinence, informs those involved of them and simplifies their implementation.
  • Is mainly involved in the project development of programs for CETA. He or she is involved in the development, promotion, recruitment and delivery of the programs.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with representatives of partner organizations involved in the various programs studied to obtain or give advice or information; he or she informs the organizations concerned of the resources and services of the school board and of the educational institutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialty.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


  • Experience working in a publicschool setting or has knowledge about the public school system and the community.
  • Experience working in collaboration with a variety of agencies, community groups and programs.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with other community liaisons or groups.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Group facilitation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Competent in Word and Excel programs.
  • Good awareness of vocational training programs is an asset.
  • Strong desire to be a lifelong learner and attend professional development in order to be innovative and current.
  • Is called to do local traveling

PLACE

SALARY:
In accordance with the Professionals' Agreement $49,456 to $87,626 annually, according to qualifications and experience.
