Position Overview:


Reporting directly to the General Manager and indirectly to the Assistant General Manager, the FOH Team Lead is in charge of assisting with the overall operations of the front of the house to ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service.

The FOH Team Lead will ensure policies and procedures are followed ensuring that it complies with both company and food safety standards.

This includes cleanliness of the front area, organized delivery pick-up experience, attractive retail display, etc. They will train and educate the Cashiers on daily tasks, various stations, and product knowledge.

The FOH Team Lead is vital in securing processes and procedures to instill efficiency in the front of the house and maintaining high team morale with staff development and growth in mind.

A FOH Team Lead is expected to be a role model with the ability to complete hands-on tasks to ensure a smooth service and resolve guest escalations.

The ideal traits for this position would be a resourceful, process-oriented problem solver, who can communicate clearly while working in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail and organizational skills.


What Are We Looking For?:


  • 1+ years of experience in a high volume kitchen or restaurant
  • 1+ years of experience with employee management
  • Open and flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Able to complete physically demanding tasks standing for long periods, lifting 50lbs, bending and reaching, etc.
  • Quick learner when it comes to technology, software, and kitchen operations
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and problemsolving skills

Summary of Responsibilities:


  • Maintains an inspectionready restaurant including retail, eatin and storage areas at all times
  • Acts as a role model for employees by upholding all standards, policies and operating systems
  • Completes and applies management learning and development initiatives such as diversity and inclusion, procedures, skill development, etc.
  • Trains FOH staff on waste logs, maintenance practices, menu knowledge, retail items, etc
  • Leads the preshift meetings ensuring no points are forgotten and the team is informed and engage when GM and AFM are not present
  • Ensures all dishes that are served are to spec and packaged according to packaging guidelines
  • Adheres to company standards in regards to portion sizes, packaging methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Champions product knowledge to be able to make recommendations and educate guests on the menu, retail usage and Fresh mobile app
  • Checks the logs, systems and procedures within the front area such as task lists and cleaning logs to confirm they are completed to specifications
  • Maintains an organized and clean front of house during their shift (e.g. washrooms, order pick up shelves, retail displays, food rotation and cleanliness, etc.)
  • Coordinates with BOH on guest complaints and escalations regarding allergies and food quality
  • Updates the POS or Delivery apps if an item is sold out
  • Works with urgency to keep orders going out on time by being handson, making drinks, packaging orders and taking orders
  • Assists the FOH in achieving operations within budget and controlling food cost and usage
  • Keeps accurate and detailed records of the workplace happenings through clear logbook entries
  • Achieves operations within budget sets and reviews budgets with Senior Management
