    At auticon Canada, we are passionate about our consultants succeeding. Who are our consultants? They are people with autism working in the IT field. How do we help them to succeed? By providing a team of people to help pave the way. We have 3 main departments: Business Development, Technology, and Employment Coordination, within auticon Canada. Those 3 departments work together to build the path for our consultants, towards success. We find contracts for our consultants to fill, assess skillsets and recommend training, if required, and build coaching relationships to decrease workplace stressors and suggest strategies when needed. Our work also has a direct impact on how various businesses see autism and we not only want to create awareness, we also want to create enthusiasm for neurodiversity in the workplace. Our goal is to achieve the highest standards of diversity and inclusion for our sites and for our business clients.

    *Why this Role is important: *

    Working under the guidance of the National Practice Director, you will lead, support and mentor auticon's consultants to ensure that we are leverage their technical strengths, champion their abilities, and support their skill development and career direction. You'll evaluate the IT skills of new applicants to support areas of demand, coordinating with our Employment Coordinators. You will provide support and direction on internal projects and help to manage auticon's IT infrastructure. You'll also work with our Business Development Team to identify, procure, and assess new consulting engagements, and to find the best consultant match from our talent pool. You will be a key part of the technical team that not only advocates for our employees' technical skills and abilities when needed, but always has their back.

    *What you bring to our team: *

    Autism awareness – you recognize the autism advantage on technical projects and have a passion for neurodiversity. You are an active listener, and you respect the perspectives and ideas of others.

    Experience – ideally, you have experience as a software development team lead, including hiring, managing, training, and delegating. You have demonstrated skills managing technical team deliverables, analyzing and providing solutions for user needs, managing deliverables within project timelines, conducting security audits, and navigating technical issues and challenges. You've worked in both Waterfall and Agile environments, including Scrum and Retrospectives.

    Additionally, you might have experience in Technical Sales, Stakeholder Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Change Management, Project Management, Technical Coaching/Instruction, Technical Writing, IT Administration/Support, hardware/networking, cybersecurity or information security.

    Passion – you are motivated and inspired to make a difference. You have a genuine interest in diversity and inclusion and an open approach to technical coaching/training/team leadership.

    Relationship-building strengths – you have strong skills in communication and conflict management, and you can navigate teams through challenging environments. You are comfortable with public speaking and have excellent presentation skills. You do not mind technical sales and you are motivated to collaborate with team members, customers, and others.

    Education – you have a bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science/Business, or equivalent education/experience. You might have additional IT certifications/training such as Scrum Master or other Agile training, IIBA, PMP, A+, Big Data, ML, Deep Learning, CISCO, cybersecurity, etc.

    Bilingual – you are fluently bilingual in French and English and are comfortable working in both languages.
