Rotating Summer DVM Student Program:

Ottawa, Stittsville, Nepean - Ontario:

Our
Rotating Summer DVM Student
program will provide you with an enriching rotating experience at our designated veterinary hospitals, offering a diverse range of veterinary medicine, services, and care; providing invaluable insights into your career path after graduation.

As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop practical and professional skills by working under the guidance of licensed veterinarians and registered technicians/technologists.

Rotating Schedules are flexible from May to August, depending on student availability

Hospital Locations include:
Blair Animal Hospital, Bells Corners Animal Hospital, Carp Road Animal Hospital, Stittsville Small Animal Clinic**You will be introduced to the inner workings of our hospitals while also gaining exposure and education in the following areas:

Patient intake and triage
Patient handling and restraint
Client care and relationship management
Treatment and handson compassionate care
Observe or assist in surgical, nonsurgical procedures, and anesthesia
Assist with laboratory and imaging diagnostics
Train in the use of inhouse practice management software
General hospital maintenance

Requirements:

Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMAaccredited DVM program
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Must be able to repeatedly lift at least 40 lbs
Exceptional client service skills that build trust and loyalty
Calm, compassionate, and nurturing attitude
