    The DevOps Manager, reporting into the DevOps functions, is responsible for leading a diverse and highly skilled group of software engineers. This position has responsibility for leading development operations, providing services across the embedded vehicle systems – Vehicle systems, modems, in-vehicle infotainment and advanced driver assistance systems.

    This is a technical leadership position that has accountability for the scoping and delivery of Projects, Strategies and Objectives on time to plan. This Leadership position is an exciting and rapidly evolving space that requires adaptability and attention to detail.

    The candidate for this role must be able to adapt in a rapidly changing environment and drive consistency of purpose for a complex organization. Prior experience in leading cross functional teams in multifaceted technical and regulatory constrained environments is essential. The candidate will have demonstrated strong collaboration in delivering Enterprise level initiatives. Prior experience in Automotive embedded systems and associated Industries is an advantage.

    The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Partner to lead the delivery of vision, strategy and systems to meet KPIs for this function – time from code to deploy.
  • Lead development and drive delivery of a technology roadmap and roll-out plan for the systems – that include security and safety critical systems
  • Drive data discipline and best practices through the organization.
  • Ensure projects and roadmaps are delivered robustly and on time.
  • Recruit, assign, develop and direct a diverse multi-disciplined skill team.
  • The minimum requirements we seek

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science or Software Engineering. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also
  • 5+ years working in an associated technical field delivering embedded and development systems.
  • Our preferred requirements

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience in implementing DevOps including for safety critical embedded systems.
  • Demonstrated time in role leading a multi-disciplined organization focused on delivering development efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills both up and down the organization to achieve the desired results.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated examples of applying systemic thinking, logic and reasoning skills to be able to identify opportunities, alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
  • Organizational skill: Strong collaboration skills, clear and concise direction coupled with an ability to move within the organization to complete work and balance tradeoffs.
  • Strategic thinking: Demonstrated examples of driving strategy from concept through to Production.
