Position Summary


The Accounts Payable Administrator ensures that all facets of accounts payable obligations are processed and completed in a timely and accurate manner.

This position requires tremendous attention to detail, ability to work independently and to be a self-motivator, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and outside agencies.


Accounts Payable Responsibilities

  • Compile and process all invoices payable and credit card payments in Sage accounting software and Explorer Eclipse.
  • Ensure proper approbation and GL coding.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with vendors and staff.
  • Maintain adequate supporting documentation for all payable transactions.
  • Review invoices and expense reports to ensure compliance with internal policies.

Other Responsibilities

  • Compile and process data for job costing analysis.
  • Support the Controller in reconciling expenses and credit card statements
  • Maintain Employee Accounts Payable vendor files, ensuring data integrity.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, regarding work with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Excel.

Requirements:


  • Two or more years' experience processing accounts payable and a postsecondary study in accounting or administration and/or full cycle accounting work experience.
