The JR Shaw School of Business is looking for two energetic, collaborative, and detail-oriented Instructional Assistants to join our team.

The positions will assist administrative and instructional teams with academic misconduct and transfer credit assessments.


Key Responsibilities:


Communicate and participate as a team with School Leadership, other instructional assistants, members of the BIC, and other JRSSB staff to ensure quality and consistent processes.

Timely and detailed-oriented collection of information regarding academic misconduct issues and report findings back to instructors for decisions.
Plan and coordinate meetings, clear written communication, documentation and record keeping.
Work with program Chairs, instructors and the BIC team in support of timely and consistent transfer credit assessments.
Create and promote a culture of excellence, cooperation, consultation, and respect.
Other duties as assigned.


Skills & Abilities:

Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and instructors.
Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate with sensitivity, diplomacy, tact and confidentiality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with technology and learning management systems (Moodle, Panopto and Respondus would be an asset).
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
Action oriented - taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
Interpersonal savvy - relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
Ability to work independently on a variety of simultaneous projects.


Qualifications:

Related certificate, diploma or degree
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.


Remuneration:
$49, $62,451.48 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Instructional Assistant I).

This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
