We currently have opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to join our team in Peel/Halton, Ontario as a General Kitchen Helper.

Reporting to the Head Chef, the General Kitchen Helper is responsible for:

Responsible for ensuring that all the flatware, pots, pans, and plate-ware are cleaned and sanitized
Oversees stocking of all food and drink serving areas
Clean and sanitize tables in eating areas as needed
Assist with unpacking and organizing delivery of food/stock
Washes pots, pans, and trays
Sweeps and mops kitchen and dining room floors
Washes worktables, walls, and refrigerators
Removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers
Cleans out garbage cans
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or GED
Proven experience helping in kitchen settings
The ability to stand for extended periods of time
The ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances, including a commercial dishwasher
Strong communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple demands and strong customer service focus in a 24/7 operation
Be able to work independently in a fastpaced environment
Capable of attention to detail and able to maintain a positive attitude to coworkers
Be able to work flexible shifts as needed; approximately 40 hours/week

Emcon Services has the following conditions of employment: satisfactory drug pre-screening.

Part-time, Seasonal

Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary:
$15.50 per hour
