    Overview

    Bilingual Medical Claims Assistant – 100% Remote (TOR, ON). Remote opportunity in the insurance sector supporting mortgage creditor claims. Responsibilities include intake calls, processing medical information, eligibility review, and client communications. Requires bilingual English/French skills, claims adjudication experience, and strong attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct intake calls with claimants and update case records
    • Review claim forms and documents for completeness and accuracy
    • Request and process medical information
    • Determine initial coverage eligibility and send communications to claimants
    • Summarize employment and lender documentation
    • Prepare written correspondence for additional information or claim decisions
    • Ensure quality, cost-effective adjudication within defined standards
    • Collaborate with the manager to meet team goals
    • Perform additional reporting and administrative tasks as required

    What you will need to succeed

    • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred or equivalent work experience
    • Bilingual in English and French to interact with claimants, mortgage lenders, and medical providers in both languages
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Previous experience in adjudicating life and/or disability claims within the insurance industry
    • Strong knowledge of medical conditions and terminology
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
    • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
    • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
    • Ability to handle a high volume of claims and meet deadlines
    • Excellent customer service skills, with professionalism in high-pressure situations
    • Strong interpersonal skills to work independently and in a team
    • Adaptability to process changes and evolving business requirements
