Position Overview:

As a Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for technical and clerical functions in the area assigned.

Duties include unit-dose or traditional dispensing, medication cart refill, ward stock replenishment, inventory management, sterile and non-sterile compounding and prepackaging.

All rotations include the responsibility for documentation, continuous quality improvement and workload measurement.

Requirements:

Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) accredited college
Registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Minimum of 2 years' experience in multiple acute care hospital settings providing automated unit dose and IV admixture services
Team player with excellent communication skills, critical thinking and customer service skills
Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills
Demonstrates values consistent with SHN's Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation
Utilize protective equipment provided and identify and reports hazards
Engages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and community
Excellent work performance and attendance record
