The Professional Banking Specialist is part of a national team responsible for delivering holistic advice and Business Banking solutions for the profitable growth of existing and new high value professional clients.Manage and grow a business banking portfolio by acquiring new professional customer relationships,
and retain/expand existing relationships through involvement in industry events and relationships with local professionals,
Centers of Influence (COIs) serving the segment,
/Professional Associations with a footprint in the local market.
- Champion a client focused culture to deepen client relationships
and leverage broader Bank relationships systems knowledge - Manage an assigned client portfolio at an acceptable level of risk by working closely internal credit adjudication partners when processing deals completing credit reviews in timely fashion authorizing renewing or declining client requests within standard Bank policies authorizing limits forwarding others as per established processes preparing ensuring all documentation properly completed accounts adhere conditions authorization identifying resolving deviations from conditions authorization responding client requests service instructing guiding clients service use confirming satisfaction service discovering business personal banking needs preferences sides balance sheet engaging right bankers deliver holistic solutions responding retail business banking solutions collecting relevant information processing requests conducting due diligence applicable informing client expect setup instructions appropriate ensuring setup occurs plan contributing Business Banks overall financial non-financial objectives meeting assigned targets asset deposit revenue growth business development activities retention referral goals objectives related client service operational effectiveness personal development developing understanding branch financial non-financial goals contribute them participating team meetings skill-building sessions one-on-one coaching sessions adhering strictly Bank Branch security procedures assigned authorities responsibilities reporting unusual occurrences fraudulent activity supervisor immediately actively pursues effective efficient operations respective areas accordance Scotiabank Values Code Conduct Global Sales Principles while ensuring adequacy adherence day-to-day business controls meet obligations respect operational compliance AML ATF sanctions conduct risk champion high-performance environment contributes inclusive work environment
