Job Purpose:


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Duties

  • Accountable for all MRO (maintenance, repairs and operation) and H&S purchasing, including vendor selection and price negotiations. Develop and manage cost savings measures. Adhere to established budgets and escalate as necessary.
  • Analysis of current plant supplies and services for competitive supply. This review is to include but is not limited to, quality, price, delivery, logístical advantage, and after normal hours, availability of product and systems for emergency requirements.
  • Develop a comprehensive purchasing strategy.
  • Develop relationships with equipment and supply vendors to improve customer service, response times and awareness of new products. Ensure delivery timelines for production consumables are maintained.
  • Maintain service contract files. Review costs, quality and levels of service regularly.
  • Perform cycle counts on production consumables and critical spare parts inventories to ensure smooth operations and equipment uptime. Track purchasing activities to ensure stock levels are at required quantities.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage onsite vendor replenishment.
  • Enter and process all maintenance / plant service and production PO's are entered in a timely manner.
  • Generate expense and purchase reports utilizing existing systems. Assist processing payments and invoices.
  • Establish and maintain Spare Parts Inventory and Critical Parts inventory lists; liaise with all departments to ensure information is updated timely and accurately.
  • Adhere to all Dana environmental, health and safety requirements including ISN and contractor safety compliance.
  • Liaise with Maintenance department to ensure supplies and tools are replenished; address needs of the department.
  • Maintain and update Maintenance Parts Library including replacement parts list.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, user and instruction manuals.

Competencies:

  • Diploma or Degree in technology and/or supply chain management with an MRO focus.
  • Prior experience using CMMS required.
  • Enrollment in PMAC an asset. Project Management experience an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with ambiguity. Positive attitude with a desire to organize, troubleshoot and implement continuous improvements.
  • Excellent database / spreadsheet skills for maintenance (eMaint) and PO systems (Ariba), intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • SAP experience an asset.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated people management abilities and the ability to work in a team environment.
