Job Opportunity:
Horticulturist/Gardener

Are you passionate about cultivating beautiful outdoor spaces? Do you have a green thumb and a keen eye for detail? Join our team at Sunshine Grounds Care as a Horticulturist/Gardener and be part of transforming landscapes across Toronto and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

Perform full landscape maintenance, with a focus on garden upkeep including weeding, edging and cultivating gardens.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Lead and supervise a team of 23 members
Ensure efficient and accurate completion of daily tasks
Ability to operate landscaping equipment and tools safely and effectively. Use walk behind mower, fertilizer spreader, backpack weed sprayers, edgers, cultivators, line trimmers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers.
Execute lawn maintenance tasks as needed.
Demonstrate proficiency in plant identification and possess knowledge of various plant species.
Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

Proven experience in horticulture and gardening.
Strong knowledge of plant care techniques and landscaping principles.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

This individual will understand and appreciate working in very hot, very cold, very wet, and very beautiful days. You are also a person that presents solutions rather than problems and are seeking to learn something new everyday.

Pay:
$20.00-$30.00 per hour
