Description
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Health Care Aides.

As healthcare aide in this role, your primary responsibility will be to deliver compassionate and personalized care to our clients in various home healthcare settings.

Your role will involve assisting with patient care, medication administration, meal preparation, and providing comfort and companionship to patients in need.

Duties:


  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): _
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Medication Management: _
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Light Housekeeping task &

Meal Preparation:
_

  • Assist with meal and preparing nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Companionship:_
  • Engaging in meaningful conversations,
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Participate in activities that enhance our clients' wellbeing
  • Transportation: _
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, or other engagements, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Assist with documentation and record keeping

Requirements:


  • Health Care Aide Certification
  • Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable with their shifts and duties.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Reliable Vehicle for Transporting Clients
  • First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Previous experience as a healthcare aide working in homecare and healthcare aide certification
  • 3 professional references
  • Experience working with vulnerable groups, particular seniors is an asset
  • Dementia care training is an asset
  • Skills in meal preparation, cooking, and baking is an asset
  • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector required
  • Due to the nature of our business in taking care of the vulnerable population, we require our caregivers to be current with Covid 19 vaccinations.
