Description

Our established custom millwork/cabinet shop in Aldergrove is looking for an intermediate-level custom cabinet and specialty parts builder/maker to join our team.

This individual should be self-motivated, honest, reliable and a dedicated team player.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Go over jobs with Product Engineer and clarify details for custom specialty parts and cabinets and note any exceptions to standard practices
  • Interpret drawings and produce a list of custom parts and cabinet pieces that need to be built
  • Cut and assemble custom parts and cabinets using a wide range of materials as well as woodworking machinery and small hand tools
  • Sort and organize cabinet parts to send to the finishing department
  • Assist in an assortment of shop duties, CNC operation, edgebanding, loading/shipping cabinets for installers, final assembling cabinets, etc.
  • Receive, sort and distribute shop deliveries as needed
  • Assist on site with cabinet delivery and installs as needed
  • Keep work area and materials storage area organized

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the cabinet making industry
  • Competency with woodworking tools such as small hand and power tools, chop saw, table saw, panel saw, edge bander and other large woodworking machinery
  • Ability to read tape measure to 1/32 of an inch
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings and measurements
  • Efficient in reading and communicating fluently in English
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Willing and able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs
  • Willing to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Able to adapt well to changes, pivot when needed and multitask
  • Able to prioritize and be aware of timelines
  • Commitment to safety guidelines and policies
  • Efficient in reading and communicating fluently in English

We offer:
(A long weekend every weekend) 4 day work week - Monday to Thursday - 7:00 am to 5:30pm (10hr days)

Starting wage - dependent on experience

After 3 month probation period - Extensive Benefits package

From $26.00 per hour
