Department Overview

TD Securities (TDS) Finance supports the development and achievement of TD Securities financial objectives through providing value-added expertise and guidance, in-depth performance analysis and metrics on business profitability, expense decision support, and strategic advice on business decisions to optimize return on equity (ROE) and return on assets (ROA).

Job Details

This role will support the Wholesale Banking segment and reports into the Senior Manager TDS Finance. This position requires an action-oriented individual with an accounting background and strong business acumen with demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.

Accountabilities
Posting of Journal and management entries related to Variable Compensation as part of month end closing activities
Own and coordinate various monthly/quarterly deliverables, such as flux reporting and reconciliations
Refresh of headcount, cost share analysis, investigations and commentaries
Provide deepdive analysis on expense categories to support adhoc requests and analysis
Provide recommendations for identifying and implementing process improvements
Work closely and manage relationships with different stakeholders from several groups i.e. Finance Shared Services, Regional Finance teams, Audit etc.
Must be able to work with mínimal supervision in an unstructured and fastpaced environment

Customer

Ensure prompt and thorough resolution of enquiries and issues originating from the Regions and other stakeholders
Provide advice and guidance to Finance Management and/or business partners and appropriate stakeholders on a range of finance accounting / reporting or operational processes

Job Requirements

Postsecondary degree in Business or Finance is preferred but not required
Accounting designation would be an asset
Strong proficiency in Excel and experience in analyzing large data sets
Understanding of the Bank's management and financial reporting systems (Hyperion, PSGL, WEBADI etc.)
Prior experience with month end close activities would be an asset,
Selfstarter; willingness to take initiatives for continuous learning and development
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to multitask
Demonstrates excellent judgment and professionalism when dealing with various internal clients
