About the Role:


You will contribute by:


  • Planning and executing station promotions, events, and community partnerships.
  • Collaborating with the Promotions Director and Program Manager to plan promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Managing contests, prizing, contestrelated correspondence, and writing promotional proposals.
  • Making onsite appearances, coordinating events/concerts, and setting up promotional activations and remote broadcasts.
  • Developing and executing a digital/social media strategy, calendar, and content across various online platforms with the guidance of the Promotions Director and Social Strategist.
  • Creating revenue opportunities through execution of station sales and marketing initiatives, including collaborating with the sales team and building sales promotions proposals
  • Conducting live reports onair from community events, concerts, fundraisers and client locations in the summer.
  • Creating and editing content, including audio and video.
  • Maintaining promotional inventory, station signage, equipment, supplies, and related documentation
  • Working with the Promotions Manager to think creatively to develop and execute promotions that boost ratings and revenue.
  • Operating and ensuring cleanliness of company vehicles.
  • Handling promotional and technical equipment with care and protecting them from damage.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and businesses.
  • Monitoring marketing trends in the industry and social media.
  • Responding to audience inquiries promptly.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Skills and experience you will bring:

  • Valid 'G' class driver's license with a clear driver's abstract is required.
  • Experience in radio promotions, experiential marketing, event planning, or a related field is preferred.
  • Postsecondary education in broadcast radio, marketing, or a related field is an asset.
  • Passion for the music we play and a willingness to embrace and champion the formats.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly with passion, excitement, and confidence (on and off the air).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for design.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads, TikTok).
  • Experience with audio and video editing is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), WordPress, and basic website maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) is an asset.
  • Personable, outgoing, creative, and customer service oriented.

  • Flexible schedule this role requires working a variety of shifts including early mornings, weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
