    Position Overview:

    Think Dirty seeks a seasoned Mobile Development Manager with extensive experience in iOS development, familiarity with Android platforms, and competence in backend development using Ruby on Rails. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of driving project completion while nurturing a productive team environment.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time remote role for a Mobile Engineering Manager. As a Mobile Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage a team of iOS and Android mobile engineers. Your day-to-day tasks will involve overseeing software development projects, providing technical guidance, ensuring seamless integration, and implementing effective project management strategies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage a team of mobile developers, ensuring high performance and adherence to software development best practices.
    • Design, develop, and maintain applications for both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring robustness, scalability, and optimal performance.
    • Take ownership of the backend development using Ruby on Rails, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product, design, and backend development to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements.
    • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
    • Prepare and maintain all applications using standard development tools.
    • Document all operational, system, and user procedures and methods.
    • Manage project timelines and deliverables, respecting deadlines and budget constraints.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adopting new technologies and methodologies to enhance application quality and team productivity.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in iOS development, with a strong portfolio of released top 200 applications with at least 4.5-star reviews.
    • Some experience in Android, Kotlin development and backend programming with Ruby on Rails.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a team of developers from remote locations with different skill sets and personalities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the emotional maturity to handle various situations.
    • A product mindset with an ability to understand and align development with company strategic goals.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform well in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Strong leadership, communications and team management skills
    • Advocate of non-violent communications
    • Extensive experience in software development and engineering management
    • Proven expertise in project management and delivering high-quality products
    • Deep understanding of mobile app development and integration

    Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial

    • Experience with iOS and Android platforms
    • Knowledge of modern mobile development frameworks and tools
    • Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
