    Job Summary
    The Recruitment Specialist works within a team-based environment to provide timely and responsive recruitment for the organization.

    This involves facilitating internal seniority-based recruitment; assessing applications; awarding positions; assigning proper pay levels to successful candidates; participating in the recruitment of non-seniority based recruitment including international recruitment; building/maintaining positive relationships with employees/union leadership throughout the recruitment processes; and assisting in other recruitment related activities and initiatives.

    Job Qualifications

    Education
    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Commerce with a specialization in Labour Relations/Human Resource Management is required.

    Experience
    Human Resources experience is required preferably in recruitment/selection.
    Experience in interpretation and administration of collective agreements and non-union policies is required.
    Experience in international recruitment would be an asset.

    Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
    Knowledge of employment legislation/Human Rights, recruitment, interview and selection best practices.
    Knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications and Human Resources Information Systems.
    Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a team environment.
    Demonstrated excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

    Demonstrated superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage high volumes of work with multiple and competing priorities/deadlines while attending to numerous details in a high stress environment.

    Demonstrated a strong critical thinker who is creative and innovative in problem solving and decision making.
    Ability to provide an enthusiastic and positive approach to providing excellent customer service within a team environment.

    Ability to develop collaborative relationships and interface effectively with a variety of employee groups at all levels of the organization.

    A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
