BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Completion of Post-Secondary
Experience:
Currently the opening is afternoon shift however, ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends is required
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to multitask
Strong problemsolving and conflict management skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Mgmt.
Experience:
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Safety and MP&L experience preferred
Knowledge of constraint management principles
Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel
Develop strong working relationship with Operations and Unifor Business Partners to jointly deliver business results
Administer Collective Agreement provisions and Company policies
Facilitate crew meetings
Implement activities related to workforce planning, including providing direction and support in the allocation of resources (e.g., work plans / instructions, accountability, training) in order to appropriately cover material handling responsibilities, overtime and vacation administration / scheduling, etc
Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
Create a conducive work environment for employees to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution
Build employee capability, communication & recognition
Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility
Ensure proper material flow from receiving dock, to warehouse storage location, to the delivery of product to customers
Ensure flawless flow of parts through proactive planning and crossfunctional communication
Effectively implement the Engineering Change Process
Identify data gaps and implement corrective actions
Ensure administration of fundamental supervisory responsibilities and corresponding documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
