$112,050 - $197,168,100 (Salary band to commensurate based on experience)

Key Qualifications:


  • You are a Regulated Health professional and have 3 to 5 years' experience working with patients within an acute care facility
  • Master's degree preferred (e.g. Health Administration, Leadership, Quality)
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex and fastpaced environment
  • Proven success in managing changing and transforming workplace culture
  • Indepth knowledge of health care, occupational health and safety, privacy and related legislation, and infection control practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to work within a collaborative and diverse interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong leadership skills, selfmotivation and the ability to work successfully, both independently and in team settings.
  • Excellent decisionmaking and problemsolving skills to intervene in critical and complex situations.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for overseeing continuity of clinical operations during nights, weekends and holidays
  • Fosters collaborative communication with internal teams and community partners
  • Supervises afterhours clinical services and primary crisis contact for all clinical activity areas in hospital (e.g. supporting discharge plans, resolving family conflicts, emergency services).
  • Identifies and communicates clinical concerns or systems issues that occurred during nights, weekends or holidays to manager for action.
  • Expedites, prioritizes, synchronizes and mediates clinical issues, barriers.
  • Primary liaison with the on call team to escalate unexpected incidents
  • Works collaboratively in partnership with program managers to ensure that program service needs are met and that resource allocation is appropriate
  • Coordinates and redeploys staff to achieve appropriate skill mix based on patient safety, departmental coverage needs, and associated risks.
  • Collaborates with inpatient managers to identify process improvement strategies to improve the current inpatient system and reduce patient length of stay (LOS).
  • Works with patients and families as partners in care; collaborates to continuously improve the patient experience
