Job summary
This is a frontline supervisor position that supports the FedEx Safety Above All Culture and manages specific day-to-day operations and an assigned staff.The Operations Supervisor may also manage administrative employees and functions and ensures administrative processes are compliant with FedEx policies and procedures.

Management responsibilities include hiring terminations coaching training recognition performance evaluation management discipline addressing employee concerns staff productivity Plans organizes staffs directs controls daily operations Responsible for assigning managing employees ensure safe efficient sortation packages facility minimizing operational cost maximizing operational quality Analyzes operational performance determines opportunities improvement key metrics executes action plans achieve results Leads daily employee planning meetings workforce communication understanding operational updates goals Includes public speaking small large audiences regular basis Participates development administering company safety strategies programs Investigates resolves escalates customer service issues appropriate Responsible training new employees regarding duties expectations ensuring compliance FXG policies procedures other training requirements Performs duties assigned adapts quickly change meet dynamic business needs Displays flexibility sense urgency leading engaging employees positive professional manner}
