    We're looking for a content strategist who will lead innovation and develop content strategy and implementation across our network of print and online platforms.

    Our mission

    We're on a mission—a mission to arm families with information and tools they need to make more intelligent decisions. Specifically, we guide families on their choice of private schools, summer camps, and retirement communities. Today, well over two million families use our platforms each year to discover, analyze, compare, and choose services.

    Your role

    As Content Strategist, you'll oversee the direction of all editorial at Our Kids—content meant to enrich the user's decision-process through stories, insights, data, and analysis. The role involves innovating, planning, designing, creating, editing, and publishing content across print and online platforms. It involves managing other writers, and contributing to the formulation of our product strategy.

    Your writing team (which you'll cultivate and manage) will consist both of in-house and freelance talent. Outside of your team, you'll work with a head of product and strategy to maximize efforts on strategic vision, budget tracking and resource allocation, in addition to two product managers, and a marketing manager. We have developers and designers on staff.

    Qualifications

  • University degree, ideally in journalism, communications, or a related field
  • Proven track record/portfolio of projects from concept to completion
  • Meaningful experience in journalism and/or copywriting, with evidence of strong work
  • Good organizational and creative problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people through effective communication and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle several workloads
  • Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) basic fundamentals of SEO (search engine optimization) and of online writing best-practices
