Safran Landing Systems is looking for its Machining Commodity Purchasing Manager for the prismatic and turning parts segment for the North America zone.
Reporting to the Director of Machining Commodity, you will manage a purchasing volume of €60M, 20 suppliers and a team of buyers.
Exigences du poste:
- Hierarchically manage a team of 4 buyers based in Toronto
- organize sourcing activities (take into account carbon footprint reduction objectives, Reach transition), develop the Best Cost Country panel and the supply chain for new programs
- Ensure the followup of negotiation / RFQ
- Intervene in support of buyers in particularly difficult and/or strategic negotiations.
- Draft or validate, with the help of the legal department, contracts and framework agreements.
- Manage cost reduction actions on the panel
- Monitor the contracting rate and associated actions
- Ensure timely supplier payments
- Encourage initiatives, innovations of the team
With a general engineering or business school type training supplemented by significant experience in a production purchasing department, you have cross-functional or hierarchical management experience.
You also know how to interface with both operational and also with the managers of your company or your suppliers.
You have demonstrated your ability to negotiate in a complex international environment.
