    Are you a seasoned Project Manager with extensive expertise in all facets of project HSE management? Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Project HSE Advisor position with a distinguished mining and metals company in Kitimat, BC. The ideal candidate will possess over ten years of experience in project construction or operational safety, with a strong preference for backgrounds in Aluminum Smelter, Heavy Industries, Oil & Gas, or the Petrochemical Industry, particularly within infrastructure or construction projects.

    • Pay rate: up to$160/ hour
    • Location: Kitimat, BC
    • Shifts : 14 days on/14 days off | 10 hours / day
    • Job type: Full-time | Contract
    • Applicants must be Independent Contractors (IC)

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Review and approve project-specific HSE documentation, including HSE Plans, Construction HSE Plans, HSE MS Bridging Documents, Emergency Response Procedures, and SIMOPS Procedures.
    • Monitor the implementation of the Contractor's HSE Management Plan and organizational procedures throughout all project phases, ensuring compliance with the Project HSE Management Plan. Conduct HSE audits on contractors and issue reports.
    • Assess hazards and environmental effects to ensure risks are minimized and manageable.
    • Act in the owner's best interest by collaborating with internal technical and functional groups and the Turnkey Contractor for project success.
    • Perform other duties related to the safe delivery of the project as assigned by the Project Manager or designate.
    Requirements & Qualifications:
    • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in project construction or operational safety, preferably within Aluminum Smelter, Heavy Industries, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical Industry infrastructure/construction projects. In-depth knowledge of various Client and BC safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
    • Relevant professional or technical certifications are an asset.
    • Experience in British Columbia is desirable.
    • Occupational First Aid Level 2.
    • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
    • Safety tickets (Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Level 2) are an asset.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
    • Training in Construction Health & Safety.
    • Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to perform under stressful conditions.
    • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in safety documentation.
    • Self-motivated and well-organized, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
    • Advanced interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and organizational boundaries.
    • Advanced multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
    • Must be an Independent Contractor.
    • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
